Shipping policy
Shipping Policy
Effective date: 20 June 2026
This Shipping Policy applies to orders placed through the PMK IWATSU UK LTD online store.
1. Shipping locations
We deliver throughout the United Kingdom and to selected international destinations.
Some products cannot be shipped to all countries because of manufacturer restrictions, export controls, carrier limitations, product characteristics, or local import requirements. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where we cannot lawfully or reasonably deliver the product to the requested destination.
Customers requiring delivery to a destination that is not available during checkout should contact us before placing an order.
2. Product availability and lead times
Our product range includes stocked products, products sourced from manufacturers, and products manufactured or configured to order.
Availability and lead times may therefore vary by product. Any availability or delivery estimate shown on a product page, quotation, order confirmation, or other communication is based on the information available to us at that time.
Where a product is not immediately available, we will provide or confirm an estimated lead time. By proceeding with the order after receiving that estimate, you agree to the stated delivery timeframe.
Unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing, delivery dates are estimates rather than guaranteed dates. We will notify you if we become aware of a material delay.
3. Order processing
Orders are processed during our normal business hours, excluding weekends and public holidays in England.
Orders may be subject to:
-
payment verification;
-
stock and lead-time confirmation;
-
address verification;
-
export-control or sanctions screening;
-
confirmation of the product’s intended use or end user; and
-
acceptance by PMK IWATSU UK LTD.
Processing time is separate from the carrier’s transit time.
4. Shipping charges
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout where possible and depend on factors including the destination, shipment weight, dimensions, value, and required service level.
For unusually large, heavy, high-value, sensitive, or specially handled products, the shipping cost shown at checkout may not be available or may require confirmation. In those cases, we will contact you with the applicable shipping options before dispatch.
Additional charges may apply to destinations including Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and Islands, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and other remote or offshore locations.
5. UK delivery
UK orders are normally shipped using a tracked parcel or freight service appropriate for the product.
A signature may be required upon delivery. High-value, heavy, palletised, or delicate equipment may require a scheduled delivery appointment.
The delivery service selected at checkout describes the carrier service after dispatch. It does not shorten any product-specific manufacturing, sourcing, configuration, or order-processing lead time.
6. International delivery
International orders may be shipped by parcel carrier, freight forwarder, air freight, or another appropriate service.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in the quotation, checkout, or order confirmation, international shipments are supplied DAP — Delivered at Place, Incoterms® 2020. This means that the customer is responsible for import clearance and for paying any applicable import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees, handling charges, and other destination-country charges.
These charges are not included in the product price or shipping charge unless we expressly state otherwise.
The customer is responsible for:
-
providing accurate importer and delivery information;
-
determining whether the products may be lawfully imported and used in the destination country;
-
obtaining any necessary import permits or approvals; and
-
paying charges imposed by customs authorities, carriers, or other third parties.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, inspections, missing importer information, local authorities, or unpaid import charges.
7. Export controls and restricted shipments
Certain measurement instruments, probes, accessories, software, or related technology may be subject to UK, US, EU, Japanese, or other export-control and sanctions requirements.
We may request information about the purchaser, end user, destination, and intended application before accepting or dispatching an order. We may suspend, decline, or cancel an order where shipment would require an unavailable licence or could breach applicable law, sanctions, manufacturer restrictions, or company compliance requirements.
8. Tracking information
Where tracking is available, we will send tracking or shipment information to the email address provided with the order.
Tracking information may take some time to become active after the shipment has been collected by the carrier.
Freight and pallet deliveries may be tracked through direct communication with the carrier rather than through an online tracking page.
9. Partial shipments
Where an order contains products with different availability dates, we may offer to ship the available products separately.
Additional shipping charges may apply where the customer requests separate shipments. We will obtain the customer’s agreement before applying any additional charge.
10. Delivery addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, including the company name, contact person, telephone number, postcode, and any relevant access instructions.
Please contact us promptly if an address needs to be corrected. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered processing or been dispatched.
The customer may be responsible for reasonable additional costs arising from:
-
an incorrect or incomplete address;
-
refusal of delivery;
-
failure to attend an agreed delivery appointment;
-
lack of suitable access or unloading facilities; or
-
the carrier being unable to complete delivery for reasons outside our control.
11. Inspection upon delivery
Please inspect the shipment as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If packaging appears damaged, note the damage on the carrier’s delivery record where possible and retain all packaging materials. Please photograph the packaging and product before installation or use.
Visible damage, missing packages, or incorrect items should be reported to us promptly, preferably within two business days of delivery. Prompt reporting helps us investigate the shipment and submit any necessary carrier claim.
This reporting request does not limit any statutory rights available to consumers.
12. Lost or delayed shipments
Please contact us if a shipment has not arrived within the expected timeframe.
We will investigate the shipment with the carrier. A shipment may need to be formally declared lost by the carrier before a replacement or refund can be processed.
We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action, customs procedures, security inspections, natural disasters, governmental action, or carrier network disruption. This does not affect rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Transfer of risk
For orders placed by consumers, PMK IWATSU UK LTD remains responsible for the goods until they are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or another person identified by the customer, except where the customer independently appoints a carrier that was not offered by us.
For business customers, the transfer of risk is governed by the Incoterm, quotation, order confirmation, or other terms agreed for the order.
14. Consumer delivery rights
Where the customer is acting as a consumer, we will deliver the goods without undue delay and within 30 days after the contract is formed unless a different delivery period has been agreed.
If we cannot deliver within the agreed period, the customer may have the right to require delivery within an additional appropriate period or to cancel the order, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Nothing in this Shipping Policy excludes or restricts a consumer’s statutory rights.
15. Returns
Returns, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our separate Refund and Returns Policy.
Please contact us before returning any product. Products should not be sent back without return instructions or, where applicable, a return authorisation.
